The NGR for this record marks the position of a stone gatepost said to be a former monolith now re-used (at least in part). The farmer pointed to the post on the north side of the gate.
The field immediately to the north was said to be the original location. There was no sign of the low stony mound which once marked its position, though that part of the field closest to the gateway is now overlain with a large dung heap. The field to the immediate south was also checked, with similar results.
