Located on the sloping crest of a low ridge, the turf-covered mound measures 15.5m (NW-SE) by 14m and 0.6m high on the downhill (NE) side. On the SW the mound merges with the rising slope of the ridge. Although it has been ploughed in recent years the mound is still prominent especially when viewed from the NE. The field in which it lies is now grazed by cattle.
