A rectangular platform, c.45m by 58m, enclosed by a moat, embanked to the W, c.10-12m wide except to the E, where an earthen dam thrown across a small dingle, now breached, formed the N side of a pond, c.35-40m by 67m. The entrance appears to have been on this, E, side, opening onto a platform, c.15.5m by 25m, above the pool.
