DescriptionAn artificial mound, 19m NW-SE by 14m and 2.4m high, set upon a natural mound, c.40m in diameter.
Excavation, 1951-68, revealed a complex constructional sequence, opening with a probable ditch round barrow with two burial pits, adapted to accommodate a secondary in-urned cremation. The mound material contained fragments of Neolithic pottery.
