Melin Wynt y Craig stands on a rocky hillock to the east of Llangefni, with a rock-cut track leading clockwise round the hill. The rubblestone, heavily-pointed tower, with small square windows, appears to be strengthened at the top by a concrete beam, supporting a truncated conical slated "cap" of larger diameter than the tower, carrying modern telecommunication aerials.
