Description
Rectangular stone-built walled structure, measuring c. 17m north-south by 10m east-west. The walls are complete on 3 sides, incorporating a natural outcrop on their 4th (west) side. The structure is concievably a sheep-fold, but commands a high position below the summit of Foel Cae'r Berllan, with views out to the east. It may be a medieval structure originally linked to Castell y Bere in the neighbouring valley.
Recorded during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 2nd June 2009.
