This fish trap was identified by RCAHMW staff during aerial reconnaissance in 2009. It consists of the remains of dry stone walls, probably constituting different phasing of a 'V' shaped fish trap. It is also visible on modern aerial photographic coverage, which shows four arms. The northen-most arm is orientated north-west and the visible section measures some 50m. The second arm is situated some 150m further south-west and runs parallel to it. a third arm begins some 40m south-west of the second arm and runs for some 150m in a northerly direction, before terminating at the point where the fourth arm begins. the fourth arm runs in an easterly direction for100m, and probably originally terminated adjacent to the northern-most arm.

Event and Historical Information:
Evelyn Lewes notes that Rhys ap Gruffydd's charter of 1184 records that the goredi of Llanddewi Aberarth were offered to the monastery of Strata Florida. They remained in use until the 1930s.
