DescriptionThe chapel cause in Maes-y-Llan was founded in 1840 and the chapel constructed in 1844. Bethel Independent Chapel was rebuilt in 1879 as a rendered single-storeyed structure with a gable-end front to the road. It has a central porch and door with a plaque in the gable above. This is flanked by simple round-headed windows which continue down the sides. In 2003 Bethel was still in use as a chapel and remains a good example of a small and well maintained rural chapel.
