Description1. Enclosure, rectangular, c14m x 10m. Well defined, ditched with internal bank. Unknown date/ function. Unrelated to any modern field systems/banks. Marginal oblique cover.
2. This enclosure may represent the remains of a Roman practice camp.
Information from Rebecca Jones 17.07.03
3. This is a crisp rectangular building base, probably post medieval. A steep sided narrow bank with clear right angled corners and entrance gaps. Presumably a turf base for a timber superstructure. It is difficult to see how this could have been mistaken for a Roman practice camp on the ground.
