Calfaria Methodist Chapel was built in 1897, to the design of architect William D.Jones of Ton Pentre, in the Sub-Classical and Romanesque style of the gable-entry type. This chapel has two storeys and a basement. Calfaria is now Grade 2 Listed as a well-preserved example of a late nineteenth century chapel with high-quality interior fittings.
