Carmel Methodist Chapel (1), Llangynog (NPRN: 12255) was opened in November 1804 and enlarged in 1840, with W Vaughan as the builder(BCS database). This was rebuilt on a new site in 1873 as Carmel (2) (NPRN: 11381), in the Classical style with a gable-entry plan and tall round-headed windows.
