Zoar Methodist Chapel was built in 1868 in the Simple Round-Headed style with a gable entry plan. The chapel is 27 feet in length, 24 feet in breadth and comfortably seats 150-160 people. Before this chapel was built, the local cause met in a room above the communal bakehouse, a gable-ended cottage attached to the rear of the former chapel house, no. 9 Stepaside.
