Description
Although the Methodist cause in Montgomery dates back to the eighteenth century, it was not until 1864 that a dedicated chapel was opened in the town. This lies at the junction of Arthur Street and Princess Street and was designed by the architect William Henry Spaull of Oswestry. It is constructed of red brick with a pointed turret on the southern corner and a rose window in the south-western gable. In 1903 a Sunday School was constructed on the north-eastern end, matching the architecture of the existing building.
