Description
Bethany seceded from the Welsh Presbyterian Church in 1968 and formed fully as a church in 1970. A minister of the Prebyterian church started a small outreach group in the small, disused chapel of Penuel (NPRN 10978) in 1969 known as The Friends of Penuel. When the Fellowship seceded on April 7th 1968, the group moved to worship in the village institute while they built a new chapel. This opened in 1970.

The present chapel, dated 1970 is built in the twentieth century style with pebbledashed block walls, tiled roof, large pane flat-headed windows and a gable entry plan.
