DescriptionSalem Chapel was built in 1871 with the industrial terrace housing serving the ironworks and mines of Gwaelod-y-Garth. It was built as a the Pentyrch Works Board School but used as a chapel from the mid-later nineteenth century and then converted into a dwelling by 2011. The building is built in the Simple Round-Headed style, in coursed rubble with brick surrounds, slate roof and gable entry plan. It is now Grade 2 Listed.
