DescriptionGilwern United Reformed Chapel was built in 1886, in the Decorated Gothic style with a gable entry plan. It is a single-storey chapel with an attractive stone-front with brick dressings. On the front there is a circular attic ventilator in the gable and a three-light traceried gothic window over the central porch and door, flanked by 'Y' tracery gothic windows. A platform pulpit at the far end is backed by a gothic recess with script around the arch and flanked by twin doors to the Sunday School/vestry beyond. This is an attractive small gothic chapel, typical of its date and retaining the original pews.
