Description
Capel Bettws was a chapelry of Llanspyddid, mentioned in 1547. Repairs are recorded in 1788 and 1789. It was restored and extended in 1835 and almost entirely rebuilt in 1864-5, the architect being George Gilbert Scott.
The present church comprises a nave, an apse-ended chancel and a round western tower. An organ chamber and vestry are attached on the south. The walls are of stone rubble under plain tiled roofs. The architectural details and fittings are gothic.
