Description

St Cadoc's Church, Trevethin, is built in the Gothic style and has a gable entry. A prominent feature is the integral tower. Painted features include a Royal Arms. The parsh registers (1774) record a payment of six guineas to Benjamin Barker, one of the chief designers of patterns for the Pontypool Japan Works, for 'painting His Majesty's coat-of-arms' (Bradney II, 435)
