DescriptionSt Margaret's is located on the west side of the B4251, set back from the road along a short lane. It was built to designs of Bowes A.Paice, architect, of London; and, later to designs of Maurice B.Adams, architect.
The church is constructed of snecked Pennant sandstone, quarried on site, and Bath stone dressings. It comprises nave and south porch (1875-6), lower chancel with broad canted apse (1890-1), and deep south vestry and organ chamber. Inside, the nave roof is scissor-braced. A Norman Shaw-style colour scheme was introduced by Adams: roof with green-stained timbers and cream plaster, walls of salmon red with Persian red dado - but none of it survives.
