Description
Newbridge Methodist Chapel is said to have been built in 1885, but this must have been on a different site as nothing is shown on the OS maps 1885-1910. After 1910, a large timber chapel was built in neo-gothic style, with a smaller corrugated iron structure alongside to the northwest. The timber structure has a long wall entry plan and fine arcading separating the nave from the side-aisles. In the 1950's a new church was built to the southwest, in brick. The earlier structures were retained, the wooden building being converted into a workshop.
