Description
The church of St John the Evangelist is located on the north side of Park Street. It was built in about 1925 in Gothic style to designs of architect A.F.Webb of Blackwood. It consists of nave and chancel under a single continuous roof, south-west porch and south-east (?) vestry. Stained glass, in the east and west windows, is by T.W.Camm & Co of Birmingham (1935).
This predecessor to this church was located on the opposite side of the road on a site that is now occupied by housing.
