DescriptionMoriah Baptist Chapel was built in 1893 in the Lombardic tall round-arched style. It is built from snecked rockfaced sandstone with yellow ashlar dressings and the sides are rendered with yellow brick cornice and pilasters and some decorative rockfaced stone. At gallery level the frontage has a tripartite window with elongated moulded round arches with foliage capitals and recessed half-round columns. There is a deeply splayed sill with an inscription and date below. Above is a rounded and very decorative billet-moulded eaves cornice. Attached to the right side and rear of the Chapel, is a 1990's wing which has been unobtrusively added.
This chapel is now Grade 2 Listed.
