DescriptionBethania Methodist Chapel was built in 1908 and designed by the architect Rhys Samuel Griffiths, at an original cost of £4500. This chapel is built in the Classical style, with a gable entry plan, rubble stone walls rendered with a cement plast. and a Welsh slate roof. The gable facade has been subject to extensive repair and renovation work costing c.£30,000. In 2010 this building stood vacant awaiting planning permission for a domestic conversion. Bethania is Grade 2 Listed as an almost unaltered chapel with a richly furnished interior and as the major surviving work of the Tonypandy architect R.S. Griffiths.
