Christ Church was located on the west side of Station Road, above the Afon Rhondda Fach. It was built in the period 1883-6 to designs of architect E.M.Bruce Vaughan of Cardiff. It appears to have been demolished recently and the entire area re-developed.
A Mission Church had been established in Ferndale in 1876. This may have been the precursor to Christ Church, and shown next to it on early maps (see NPRN 420787).
