Salem Baptist Chapel was built in 1878 in the Classical/Romansque style with two storeys, a gable entry plan and round headed windows. Salem was demolished in 1990 because of structural defects and Castle leisure Ltd now occupy the site. The congregation now meet in the converted Chapel House (Salem Cottage).
