Description
Roath Park Congregational was built in 1898, rebuilt in 1909-10 by architects Fawcker & Habershon of Cardiff. A Sunday School was built alongside in 1927 (replacing the former iron chapel of 1898) and the chapel was restored in 1950. The present chapel, dated 1910, is built in the Gothic style with a gable entry plan and integral tower. Now known as Roath Park United Reform, this chapel is Grade 2 Listed for its well-integrated interior containing handsome ceiling and trusses, supported on two levels of columns with Gothic braces, elegant gallery fronts and original fittings.
