Built in the Romanesque style in 1907, to Romanesque style designs by F. A. Walters, it is gable entry type with integral tower (added in 1916) and giant arch.

'An impressive part of the [consecration] service was that connected with the placing of sacred relics in a cavity at the centre of the altar. The relics were in a casket, and the builder (Mr. W. T.
