Description
The Independent Meeting House at Llwyn-rhys: the cause here was early, started in 1672 and the first chapel was built by 1700. By 1964 there was only one building remaining on the site, and the main farmhouse, presumably used as the meeting house had been demolished. There is a description by Arthur Chater's photo index reading "The farmhouse, demolished in 196? was a long-house of cruck construction of late 15th-early 16th century date, with a cross-wing added in the 17th cy which was used in the late 17th cy as a Nonconformist Meeting House (licensed for preaching till October 1735)".
