Description
A cottage, lying across the courtyard to Tan-y-Bryn main house, dating (it is thought) to the 17th century.
The building has rubble boulder walls; two small square windows set either side of a central door on the south-west front; and a later doorway on the south-east gable. The roof is of modern slate, with a squat square chimney on the north-west gable. Subsequently modernised, the cottage retains no original features excepting for a wide fireplace, containing oven recesses, and spanned by a segmental arch of long stone voussoirs, at the north-west end.
