The Haven was a one and a half storeyed house built around 1800, it was altered in the early nineteenth-century when new floors and a new roof were constructed, at a later date the house was converted into two dwellings. In his report of 1984, Harry Brooksby notes a number of interesting features including Tudor-headed doorways, early fireplaces and a number of circa 1800 joist-beams.
