DescriptionOne of two rectangular earthworks located just inside enclosed land at the south-east edge of Fforest Gwladys on Gelligaer Common. When visited in 1991 the earthwork appeared as previously described. Defined by a bank with external ditch it measures 39.5m (north-north-east by south-south-west) by 36.5m. The north and east sides are particularly faint, and the clavicula noted by OS (if that is what it is) is so faint as to be indiscernible.
Its neighbour lies about 45m to the west (see NPRN 225493). Other practice camps lie in the same general locality.
