DescriptionThis is an early nineteenth century gazebo built on the base of a tower at Laugharne Castle (NPRN 95634). It is chiefly noted for its literary associations - with the novelist Richard Hughes and the poet Dylan Thomas. It was built by 1830 and was a feature of the gardens laid out in the Castle grounds (NPRN 79039), attached to Castle House (NPRN 17184).
The gazebo is a single storey circular stone rubble building with a roughly conical slate roof and a brick chimney. A three bay window of three sashes overlooks the estuary.
