DescriptionLlandybie former National School was built in 1849, to the design of Sir Gilbert Scott. The school was set within a large playground and had a two storey central block plus entrance porch, with a single storey wing to the left and another to the right. By the 1900's two rear wings had been added. The school was marked as 'Boys Girls and Infants' on the first edition OS 25" map of 1876. The school was closed in 1971 and converted to a Church Hall and Library wing.
