DescriptionPont Dologau is a road bridge to Dologau over the Ysywyth. Dated late 18th century, it was built for Thomas Johnes of Hafod as part of his estate improvements in the early 1790s. The bridge is illustrated in J. 'Warwick' Smith collection of views of the picturesque features of the estate as Tyloge Bridge, engraved by J. Stadler. The bridge was a viewpoint for the cascades of the Ystwyth and the Nant Gau. The bridge is constructed of rough rubble stone left deliberately rustic and has a large single arch. The parapets have been removed and replaced with a 20th century wooden rail.
