DescriptionThe building is on the north side of a river at the base of a valley. The rectangular building was a house associated with the adjacent other buildings and built on level ground. The walls are mortared with cement and are built from stone and are left plain internally and faced externally with cut stone. They are 1m thick and not built on orthostats. The hearth is in end of short wall. The doorway is in centre of long wall. The eaves where they survive are 2m high. The building measures internally 11m by 8m. Large hearth in north wall 0.8m deep, 1.5m high and 2m wide. The derelict house in adjacent to a number of enclosures and possibly a footpath or road with walls 1.2m high and 0.5m thick. Part of a large complex of derelict house and enclosures that make a post-medieval settlement complex. The ground cover was bracken at the time of survey. B. Britton and G.
