Description
An eighteenth century cottage or house, much altered in the late nineteenth century.
A one and a half storey building of stone rubble under a grouted slate gabled roof framed by chimney stacks. It faces east, where is has a three bay, red colourwashed facade. An off centre doorway is flanked by windows with distinctive gabled eaves breaking dormers above. The fenestration is late nineteenth century although the lower openings are original. It appears that the doorway once had a gabled porch. Above it is a tablet with the date 1789.
Attached on the south is a single storey two bay rangewith a rear wall chimney. Although this may originally have been a service range it is shown as a separate dwelling on early editions of OS County series (Caernarvon. XXXII.9 1889-1918).
