DescriptionTwo mid nineteenth century houses or cottages adjoining Greaves Wharf Warehouse (NPRN 23219) and roofed under the same span. This building remains from the slate wharf first mentioned in 1856 (NPRN 34160).
The cottages and warehouse, are built of stone rubble with some large slate stone blocks, under a hipped slate roof.
The northern house has few windows in its side elevations, but shows a symmetrical two window gable end. A blocked central doorway has been identified, but this would fall foul of the hearths and flues within. The southern house shows a two window facade to front and rear. Both houses open to the east.
A break in construction indicates that the houses were added to the warehouse.
