The Quaker Society of Friends? Gardens and Burial Ground were established in 1711, as attested by an inscribed iron plaque on the gate added at a later date. The Society Meeting House is believed to have been in the nearby farm (NPRN 11674). The graves within the burial ground are no longer visible.
