This garden is depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Monmouthshire XIII, sheet 10 (1901). Its main elements on that map include lodge, pump, greenhouse, orchard, kitchen garden, possible viewing platform (twyn y cregen). On the earlier edition of 1881, there is a star-shaped parterre to the south of the buildings.
