Event and Historical Information:
The BULLA was a 80nt wooden schooner built in 1873. At time of loss on 20 February 1877, the vessel was owned by Le Seur Deslands of Jersey. The schooner was carrying linseed oil from La Roche Bernard to Liverpool under the command of master J Langlois when it stranded near the entrance to Conwy harbour during a gale.

The Bulla was refloated and put back into service after beaching near Conwy, so was not lost. An account is in North Wales Chronicle 03 March 1877 p6. Bulla ended her days in Hooe Lake near Plymouth, Devon. (Information contributed by Peter Holt, received December 2020).
