Event and Historical Information:
The ANTELOPE was a 37nt wooden schooner belonging to the J H Walsh of Wexford and registered at that port. At time of loss on 3 April 1886, the vessel was on passage from Wexford to Bangor under the command of master W Connolly. The schooner was caught in a south-southwesterly gale force 10 and was blown onto the Clipperau Rocks to become a total loss.
