Description
Lying close to the eastern edge of Llyn Brenig, Hafoty Sion Llwyd comprises a two storey stone house, with central doorway and end chimneys. Attached to either end of the house are the remains of two single storey outbuildings, one of which contains an oven. Surrounding these buildings are a series of of fields defined by stone and earthwork banks. The window lintel to the main house has a date stone of 1881 and at this date the farmstead formed part of the Nannerch Hall Estate. Its name however suggests an earlier origin, possibly a summer dwelling which later developed into a permanently occupied farmstead as seen elsewhere across Mynydd Hiraethog/Denbigh Moors.
