Built 1893 and designed by Douglas and Fordham, architects, of Chester. Rock-faced random rubble with red sandstone dressings. Slate roof with red-tiled cresting. Mullioned windows. The house is an interpretation of Northern English vernacular architecture of the C17 (RAJ, RCAHMW, 28 January 2004).
