Description
Shown on the current OS mapping and as an un-named roofed structure on the 1st Edition OS mapping. A two doored, rectangular structure, which is contructed using medium to large, angular quarried stones. It measures approximately 9m long by 3.5m wide and its walls are 0.6m wide by up to 1.2m high. There is a small pen on the eastern side of the structure, measuring approximately 3.5m long by 3m wide. It has a wall running off from it, which forms the field to the north. Although the function of the main structure is uncertain, it is unlikely to have been a domestic. Peter Schofield, Oxford Archaeology North, 2nd July 2004.
