Description
Cefn Bryntalch, Llandyssil is a major and well preserved example of G.F. Bodley's work in domestic architecture, considered innovative for its use of neo-Georgian style, which is worked into the expressive forms of brick vernacular revival. The house is of historic interest as being the home of the composer Peter Warlock. The house, built 1868, forms part of a tightly designed group with its service buildings to the rear. Two storeys with attics and cellar and constructed of red brick under tile roofs, with 5 tall red brick stacks, arranged asymmetrically. There is some timbering in the gables.
