DescriptionMid C19 boundary stone. The 1840 Llangynidr Tithe map shows two sets of boundary stones further west, enclosing ground described as 'disputed'. The present series of boundary stones is first mentioned in 1863, in the context of a perambulation of Tretower Manor.
Monolithic boundary stone 1m high with rounded top. South face engraved 'D of B / TM' (Duke of Beaufort, Tretower Manor); N face engraved 'GH' (Gwynne Holford). This stone is cracked across the base, its condition not as good as the others (NPRN293109, 293116). Shown on C20 OS map.
