St Mary's Church, Magor, was built in the Gothic Decorated style. The tower is thought to be thirteenth century, and the remainder fourteenth or fifteenth. Wall paintings of apostles on ceiloing panels were noted in 1977 but are now lost. There are traces of colour on the arcade pier of the south arcade
