Description
1. Semi-circular earthwork bank believed to be in connection with metal mining. OS 1st ed. maps indicate the presence of a mine shaft in this area. DAT records have a number of names for this site: Brynhope; Lisbourne New; Caron. Visible from AP.
E.J.Stapley, 31/7/00.
2. At work in 1850, this mine appears to have been idle from 1865 with a final episode of activity in 1875.
There remains only one refuse-filled shaft. A second shaft was powered via a flat-rod run from Bendigaed mine (Nprn300556).
