Description
NAR SH48NE19

The scant remains of a later Prehistoric type walled settlement set on the summit of a limestone ridge, but set back from its northern escarpment.
Stony banks or ruined walls enclose a roughly oval area about 30m across. Two roundhouses were set within this and one was attached outside. These were 9.5-10.8m across. There was also a rectangular building attached on the north. Few details can now be made out.
Similar enclosed settlements have often produced Roman material.
