DescriptionNAR SH57SE20
A standing stone or erect slab set upon a locally conspicuous rise. The stone is 3.0m high, 0.8m wide and 0.3m thick.
Stones such as this are generally identified as prehistoric ritual or ceremonial monuments, often Bronze Age. However, a more recent date and a more mundane function are also possible.
This is one of several stones in the vicinity depicted on early editions of the OS County series (Anglesey XIX.7 1889-1914) on which it is not labelled as an antiquity. The area also features what appear to be several small quarries and at least one disused limekiln.
